Well, it's been a long time coming... and now the completely-revised, new-and-improved $7 Secrets Scripts Installation Guide has been released.

Updated for 7DSS version 2.8, the guide attempts to make it much easier to get started with the software used by thousands of Internet marketers to quickly bring their information products to market.

The new guide is broken down into sections to make it easy to reference, including

• The 7DSS Sales and Delivery Process
• Modifying the Templates
• Modifying the Settings File
• Uploading the Files
• Using the Script Configuration Utility
• Testing Your Installation
• PayPal Account Settings
• Troubleshooting

and more. Also included are dozens of tips to help you effectively implement the $7 Secrets method and get the most out of your marketing efforts.

Because the guide hadn't been updated since shortly after the software was released in January 2007, many new features and settings weren't documented previously except on the forum. This revised guide corrects that situation and includes all of the options relevant to version 2.8.

Screenshots have been updated and expanded to make it easier to understand how and where to upload the various files used by the software. Instructions are more verbose -- perhaps overly so!  

Most importantly, common pitfalls are pointed out so users can avoid them before they get in the way. The guide was written from a vantage of having performed numerous installations and having provided support on the forum for nearly two years, so most, if not all, missteps were anticipated.

The Installation Guide (in English only at the moment) is included with all downloads of the Scripts and is also available separately through the scripts download link in the $7 Secrets report.

I chose landscape because of what seemed to me to be sound advice: because of the orientation of users' screens, e-books are easier read in landscape mode.

Having experimented with it myself and after reading others in landscape orientation (Armand Morin's new Internet Marketing Newsletter is one), I tend to concur. Onscreen reading is easier when viewed this way.

One benefit was that it allowed me to increase the font size for easier reading, while not creating absurdly short line lengths when I added the sidebar.

It is different when reading a printed page, but users can quickly and easily change the orientation of the binder they're using.

Great job with the installation manual. The instructions are easier to follow and the landscape format is a breeze to read through -- just hit the "down" cursor arrow once and you go to the next page. I haven't installed the updated script as yet. Will let you know when I do.
